Kids Matter Update - No Bullying

Term 3 week 9

Students will be addressing the following Key Points in their classroom programs.

  • It is important to know what bullying is and what it is not.

It is mean and unkind to bully someone. Bullying is when someone keeps picking on someone else in an unkind way over days. A student who is bullying will often say, write, text or do mean things that hurt the other student’s body, their things or their feelings. Sometimes they keep trying to stop them from joining in and being liked or write mean things when they are online. It’s NOT bullying if students just have an argument or it someone says or does just one nasty thing to someone else.

  • Bullying is never OK.

Our School and teachers take it very seriously and will act quickly to stop bullying.

  • Bullying is everyone’s problem. Bullying spoils things for all of us.

If bullying does happen to someone, then we all have to work together to stop it and to help the person who is being bullied.
