School Council Report
Another packed meeting for the school council.
School strategy was first major item on the agenda. A lot of good work has gone into the plan and we should see this finalised this year. The homework parent survey results were very positive. The council had a lively discussion on further improvements – there is always room to improve – however in general the school is in a good place regarding homework.
The nursing home land issue is progressing slowly. The matter is with the government so unfortunately there is little the school can do. However, access via Mephan street continues to be a safety concern so the school is looking into creating an access gate through the tennis courts. Hopefully this goes well – keep an eye out for this in the school newsletter and tiqbiz.
Did you know: There are 2 types of school council meetings:
the sub-committee meeting which focuses on specific areas such as education and facilities, and the general meeting which reviews the sub-committee recommendations and other general matters.
