Parent Carpark Update
As many of you are aware, the driveway leading to the parent carpark is owned by the Footscray Aged Care Centre. The licence agreement for our school to use the driveway to access the carpark will cease on the 31st May this year. We have been informed by the Aged Care Centre that they do not wish to renew their licence agreement with the Department. This will mean that there will no longer be access to the carpark from that date.
Currently, the school has engaged a traffic consultancy firm to guide the decisions that the school will be making regarding carparking around our school. I am sure that you will agree that student safety is our number one priority. I will keep our community informed regarding the changes to parking around the school.

Staff Car Park
It has been brought to the schools attention several times since the start of Term 1 that many parents are using the staff carpark to drop off their students. Once again, there have been several near misses where children have run in front of cars. After speaking to staff I would like to inform our community that the staff carpark will be closed from 8.15 am until 9.15 am and from 2.45 pm until 3.45 pm each day. This will inconvenience staff who either start or finish at times when the carpark will be locked, however they understand that it is for the safety of our children.
All members of our school community are asked to support us with this by ensuring that you do not park in the carpark that is clearly marked for staff an d to use the parent car park off Mephan Street.
